Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, celebrated her 40th birthday in style over the weekend with three new official portraits which are taken by Paolo Roversi who is a fashion photographer. During her four decades, she is gone from a common person to a member of the royal family. A huge change that we have selected to look back on in acclaim of her birthday.

Catherine “Kate” Middleton was born on Jan. 9, 1982, to Michael Middleton, a flight dispatcher, and Carole Middleton, an airline steward. She met Prince William in 2001 who is her husband now. When they both start their studies in Scotland at St. Andrew’s University. In the first year of their University, they two became friends. And, in the second year, William, Kate, and their two friends shifted into an off-campus apartment together.  

They both start dating in 2003 reportedly after Prince Wiliam was fascinated by Kate modeling in a charity fashion show. However, they broke up in 2007, they both were soon back together, and in 2010 Prince William proposed marriage. Their Royal Wedding was watched by millions of people all over the world on April 29, 2011. They both are now parents of three children and get ready for their roles as the future Prince and Princess of Wales. And, finally king and queen consort.
